Course aim
After this course you are able to: - Identify the challenges that EU citizenship and migration bring to core notions such as the state, membership, political community, - Gain a basic understanding of how the EU has dealt with questions of citizenship, migration and security, - Develop critical thinking skills to assess the existing legal framework and EU initiatives in the fields of migration and security, - Develop presentation and analytical skills on a topic relating to citizenship/migration/security
Course contents / programme
In this course we will explore the interconnected fields of citizenship and migration in the European Union with a view to understand relevant policies and laws affecting migrants and citizens.
